In March 2017, St Francis RFC has teamed up with the Manor Royal to help promote keeping fit and rugby to the 1000's employees working in the Manor Royal. St Francis RFC will now proudly wear the Manor Royal logo on their kit from the 2017-2018 season.
St Francis RFC are giving the people of Manor Royal the chance to get fit every summer by attending their Boot Camp in the summer, it doesn't matter if you are fit/ unfit, male/female. St Francis RFC are always happy to have new people join in their boot camp, St Francis believe the more the merrier as you can achieve more as a team than individually. The Boot camps will be completely free for Manor Royal employees, yet the club does take donations if they would like to donate to St Francis RFC.
Manor Royal Business District is the biggest business park of the Gatwick Diamond area and one of the south east's premier mixed activity employment hubs.
Situated on the Sussex and Surrey county borders, it covers an area of 240 hectares and is home to approximately 500 businesses generating 30,000 jobs - a popular choice for a diverse range of occupiers, including a host of blue chip global brands.
Since 2013 Manor Royal has also been home to the UK's largest "industrial" Business Improvement District (BID).
"From next season St Francis Rugby Club will proudly carry the Manor Royal logo on the sleeves of their new kit and take it on tour right across Sussex throughout the 2017/18 season. St Francis RFC have men’s and ladies teams playing competitively in the Sussex County Leagues as well as County and National Cup competitions along with friendly matches for players of all levels and abilities. They also run a boot camp throughout the summer."
“We actively encourage new members and already have quite a few people from Manor Royal involved at St Francis – including me.” Said Rhys Matthews, “We’re a friendly club and it would be great to have even more Manor Royal staff getting involved, whatever your ability or motivation. It’s fantastic for fitness plus we have our own sports club so there’s a definite social element too."
Already on the player roster from Manor Royal are people from KC Controls, CCF, Thales, CGG, Parcelforce, B&CE and others.
We hope to feature more news from St Francis as they take Manor Royal on tour next season and possibly feature some of the people and companies attached to the club.
